Lately I've been shooting a lot in Manual or Tv Mode with my 30D.

I find myself taking at least 3 shots for everything, usually modifying the shutterspeed or aperature in between.

Is this common, or should I be trying to better tune my senses for 'knowing' the values for occasions?
